Between 1st December 2009 and 28th February 2010 the Australian Government will provide a $3350 Apprentice Kickstart Bonus to employers who employ an Australian Apprentice aged 19 years and under. The Apprentice must be enrolled in a traditional trade as listed on the National Skills Needs List. The initiative is aimed at counteracting the current Skills Shortage issue and also to increase opportunities for individuals transitioning from school to trade training.
